Income Officer (Social Housing) Warrington

We're seeking an Income Officer in Warrington to support our Social Housing client on a rolling temporary contract. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week), working on a hybrid basis with 2 x set office days.

Your new role

  • Manage your own caseload of customer accounts, ensuring income maximisation and minimal rent arrears for the group

  • Liaise with customers via telephone, email, or face to face visits where required to discuss arrears and bring accounts back up to date

  • Take early intervention and complete income, expenditure and affordability assessments to agree affordable repayment plans

  • Prepare pre-court paperwork and initiate legal proceedings where appropriate to recover outstanding arrears

  • Work closely with Tenancy Sustainment Officers, Neighbourhood Officers and Enforcement Officers within the group, as well as other external agencies

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in an income recovery role within social housing, with a good understanding of legislation and best practice

  • Strong IT CRM skills, experience of QL system preferable

  • Experience of completing income and expenditure forms, and agreeing affordable repayment plans

  • An understanding of welfare benefits
