Income Officer (Social Housing) Warrington
We're seeking an Income Officer in Warrington to support our Social Housing client on a rolling temporary contract. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week), working on a hybrid basis with 2 x set office days.
Your new role
Manage your own caseload of customer accounts, ensuring income maximisation and minimal rent arrears for the group
Liaise with customers via telephone, email, or face to face visits where required to discuss arrears and bring accounts back up to date
Take early intervention and complete income, expenditure and affordability assessments to agree affordable repayment plans
Prepare pre-court paperwork and initiate legal proceedings where appropriate to recover outstanding arrears
Work closely with Tenancy Sustainment Officers, Neighbourhood Officers and Enforcement Officers within the group, as well as other external agencies
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in an income recovery role within social housing, with a good understanding of legislation and best practice
Strong IT CRM skills, experience of QL system preferable
Experience of completing income and expenditure forms, and agreeing affordable repayment plans
An understanding of welfare benefits
