Unique opportunity for a senior property lawyer to take a strategic and business-facing role

3 days on site & must live within a commutable distance – Lincoln, Newark, Grantham, Retford, Gainsborough, Worksop, Doncaster

My client seeks a senior real estate lawyer (6 years PQE to Partner level) as a key strategic hire at this high-profile organisation with a significant property portfolio and growth plans. Reporting to the GC, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation, and you will be involved in a broad range of matters not necessarily limited to real estate, supporting a fast-moving and ambitious business. You will manage strategic property disposals & acquisitions and be the overall point of contact for internal senior stakeholders. You will also manage external counsel and work collaboratively with the external law firms.

The organisation has an ambitious acquisition programme, and you will spearhead the purchases of land for development, existing commercial property and assist with business acquisitions as well as a broad range of other property matters. Working closely with the in-house surveyors and managers, you will advise on a broad range of legal issues and deliver training to the Property team and other key stakeholders as appropriate.

For anyone keen to be involved in the wider business, there is the opportunity to take a far broader role, bespoke to the successful individual.

To be of interest, you will have a strong track record in real estate. Lawyers from a private practice background will be of equal interest as those already in-house. You should be a strong communicator, very commercially aware and solutions focused. You should also possess strong analytical and negotiating skills and be adept at dealing with stakeholders at varying levels.

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a property lawyer seeking a broader and more commercially focussed position, keen to perform a pivotal role within an organisation and make a real difference. On offer is a generous remuneration package offering a wide range of benefits (including excellent pension and also a bonus). This is a full-time or 4 days per week role, split between time in the office and home-working (2-3 days a week in the office). Only lawyers with UK experience will be considered.

To learn more about this opportunity, please send your CV to Adele Callaghan (specifying full details of your current remuneration package) or email me for a return call to discuss the role.
