IMS Systems Officer (HSEQ Function) - NI Based
Your new company
Your new employer is a leading NI based Civil Engineering Contractor who require a IMS Systems Officer for a permanent Northern Ireland based role in Co. Antrim. Specialising in a variety of works including road construction and maintenance, surfacing, small civils works, waste management and demolition, this contractor has an extremely busy orderbook for 2026 and are seeking to add an IMS Systems Officer to their already established HSEQ and compliance team.
Your new role
Working under the guidance of the Senior Compliance Auditor (SHEQ), you will be instrumental in the ongoing development, upkeep, and improvement of the organisation’s management systems. This role is dedicated to fostering continuous improvement, ensuring that systems remain effective, compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, and aligned with recognised industry standards.
You will collaborate across a multidisciplinary team covering four distinct business areas including civil engineering, waste management & environmental services, quarrying and maintenance, contributing directly to the company’s overall performance. Beyond managing and refining the organisation’s systems, you will also support initiatives that drive operational enhancements—boosting quality, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you will have a background in IMS / quality systems with good working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 ideally within construction, quarrying, waste management or laboratory environments. Previous experience in a similar or HSEQ role is preferable. You will have strong administrative skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to review, update and develop management system procedures and processes. An internal auditor qualification is desirable but not essential.
What you'll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity for any individual within an HSEQ administration or IMS systems background currently looking to progress their career within the HSEQ construction / civil engineering sector in a role based entirely in Northern Ireland.
In return for your hard work, you will avail of the below benefits:
- An employee health scheme
- Employee private healthcare
- An excellent employee pension scheme
- Performance based bonus
- 31 days of annual leave, increased in line with years of service milestones
- Excellent development, learning and training opportunities
- Participation in a range of team building activities
