Your new role

This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic consulting team working on diverse projects across private development and major infrastructure. The successful candidate will be encouraged to grow professionally, gaining exposure to all aspects of consultancy—from technical delivery to client engagement, project management, and business development. The role includes support for professional accreditation and offers pathways for career progression, including international project experience.

The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Develop and review hydraulic models using industry-standard software
  • Conduct hydrological analysis using recognised UK methodologies
  • Produce clear, concise, and technically robust reports
  • Translate complex modelling outputs into accessible insights for clients
  • Collaborate within a distributed team and manage time and resources effectively.
  • Engage with clients regularly to ensure transparency and alignment with project goals
  • Contribute to project delivery from concept through to completion

What you'll need to succeed

  • 4–5 years of consultancy experience in the water/environment sector
  • Proficiency in 1D and 2D flood modelling techniques
  • Experience with software such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, and TuFLOW
  • Skilled in hydrological tools like WINFAP and ReFH
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Motivated to grow within the company and contribute to its long-term success
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across distributed teams
