Your new company

An independent flood risk and environmental consultancy is seeking a Flood Modeller / Hydrologist to support a growing portfolio of complex UK and international water-related projects. You'll join a distributed team across the UK working on drainage and flood risk challenges across private development and infrastructure sectors.

Your new role

The main responsbilties of this role will include:

  • Produce detailed Flood Risk Assessments aligned with Scottish planning policies
  • Develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models using industry-standard tools
  • Undertake hydrological analyses (e.g. WINFAP, ReFH2, FEH statistical methods)
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Translate technical modelling into accessible client reports

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Geography, Environmental Management or Engineering
  • 4+ years of UK-based industry experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in flood modelling software such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TuFLOW
  • Prior experience engaging with SEPA and understanding of NPF4 policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
