HR Business Partner Opportunity Based in Edinburgh City Centre Hybrid Working Competitive Salary

Hays are to be working with an established and fast-growing law firm based in Edinburgh city centre who are looking to add an enthusiastic HR Business Partner to their team due to company growth.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for:
- To assist in the development, implementation and consistent application of HR policies, providing advice and guidance to staff and partners.
- Manage complex ER cases including discipline, grievance and performance issues.
- Recruitment – support line managers and partners during the full recruitment process from advertising vacancies to making offers to candidates.
- Payroll – support the HR Advisor in the preparation and timely submission of payroll for the Firm. Act as a point of contact for payroll queries.
- Absence – assisting with monitoring and reviewing absence across the firm and, where required, meeting with employees.
- Work with the HR Director to ensure trainee intake is aligned with business needs.
- Take responsibility for the full trainee lifecycle – from attraction and selection through to qualification. Review and enhance our current trainee recruitment process and act as a point of contact for trainees and trainee-related issues.
- To ensure HR projects are delivered on time and in line with firm policy, including supporting the firm through periods of change.
- Assistance with the HR inbox and general admin as and when required.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have strong demonstrable experience in an HR Business Partner or generalist role, preferably within legal or professional services, and be CIPD qualified or possess equivalent HR expertise. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of UK employment law, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office tools. Highly organised and detail-oriented, they will be adept at managing multiple priorities under pressure, and bring a collaborative, flexible approach with a strong work ethic.
