HR Transformation Lead, West Midlands, £400-£500 per day, Interim, Inside IR35

Interim HR Operations and Transformation Lead Hybrid | £400–£500/day (Inside IR35) | Full-time | Immediate Start | 3–6-Month Contract

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to lead operational and transformational HR delivery within a high-profile public sector transformation programme.
This interim role will play a pivotal part in supporting organisational change across a large operational directorate, with a focus on aligning HR strategy, policy, and operations to transformation milestones. You’ll be working closely with senior leaders, project teams, and HR colleagues to ensure people-related change is delivered effectively, compliantly, and with lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead HR support across departments during transformation, including employee relations, policy application, and case management
  • Align HR operations with transformation milestones and contribute to change impact assessments
  • Advise on and support TUPE, redundancy, redeployment, and workforce planning
  • Coach and support leaders through change, team dynamics, and morale management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (OD, Legal, Communications) to ensure joined-up delivery
  • Represent HR in project meetings, providing strategic input and challenge
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and capture lessons learned

✅ Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in HR transformation and operational delivery within complex organisations
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR policy, and change management
  • Skilled communicator and influencer across all levels
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving cultural change
  • Experience supporting TUPE, redundancy, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Able to work independently and coach senior stakeholders
