HR People Partner opportunity with a large employer of choice in Northern Ireland (Hybrid available)
Your new company
Join a large employer of choice in Northern Ireland that delivers essential services to communities across the region. With a sizeable operational workforce, clear values, and a focus on safety, performance, and inclusion, this organisation is investing in modern people practices to support continuous improvement and organisational change. You’ll be part of a supportive HR function that partners closely with leaders to deliver real impact at pace.
Your new role
- Change and performance: Embed a high‑performance culture through effective coaching, capability building, and fair process. Contribute to HR projects that align with corporate objectives and deliver measurable improvements.
- Employee relations and wellbeing: Advise on complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, and mediation. Lead absence casework end‑to‑end, liaising with Occupational Health and chairing reviews where appropriate, with recommendations on adjustments, redeployment, and next steps.
- Talent and workforce planning: Support recruitment and selection to secure the best talent for operational and corporate roles. Produce regular and ad hoc people insights to inform decision‑making and track HR KPIs.
- Stakeholder partnership: Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and external partners. Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in every aspect of your work.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role with hands‑on employee relations casework within a unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR policy application.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate, and coach managers.
- Proven experience delivering HR projects and supporting organisational change.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in HRM or a business‑related discipline.
- Willingness to travel within Northern Ireland and meet role‑related medical standards.
- Experience partnering within operational, manufacturing, or multi‑site environments.
- CIPD qualification or working towards it.
What you'll get in return
- Generous leave: 26 days annual leave plus 9 statutory days
- Hybrid working available
- Excellent pension: 19% employer contribution
- Free travel benefits across Northern Ireland
- Professional growth: exposure to meaningful projects, senior stakeholders, and a supportive HR team committed to your development
