Your New Role
We are seeking an organised and customer-focused People Assistant to join a busy People Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional looking to develop their HR career within a supportive and collaborative environment. As a People Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering a professional service to employees and managers across the organisation. While appointed to a generalist People Assistant position, you will be aligned to a specialist People Services work stream, which may include Employee Relations, Recruitment, People Systems & Data, or Learning & Organisational Development. This provides the opportunity to build specialist knowledge whilst working as part of a wider People Services team.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment, onboarding and employee life-cycle activities.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Respond to employee and manager queries in a professional and timely manner.
Process contractual changes, payroll amendments and workforce updates.
Assist with reporting, compliance and administrative activities.
Coordinate meetings, training sessions and people-related processes.
Ensure workforce data is accurate, up to date and compliant.
Contribute to the delivery of a responsive, efficient and customer-focused People Services function.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Previous experience in administration, customer service or a similar support role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling records and information.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
A proactive and customer-focused approach to work.
Qualifications and Experience
A good standard of education, including literacy and numeracy skills.
Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice (or equivalent qualification), or demonstrable experience within administration, customer service, People Services or business support.
