Your new company

Due to expansion, this organisation is looking for an experienced Human Resources Officer & Payroll Administrator, reporting to the Human Resources & Payroll Manager. The role is a combination of HR & Payroll, predominantly focusing more on HR. This would suit an HR Assistant, HR Officer or HR Administrator with strong generalist HR experience and an understanding of Payroll processes. This is a permanent full or part time (3 or 4 days a week) HR and Payroll position to work on site.

Your new role

The HR specialist will cover all aspects of Human Resources and cover for the Payroll Administrator when required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing new starter packs, time sheets, court orders

  • Processing worked hours using the attendance system, processing leaver forms

  • First point of contact on all HR queries, resolving general queries from employees & management

  • Managing the staff portal HR database

  • Working alongside the HR Consultant re administrating probationary period reviews, written warnings, dismissals, welfare meetings, medical capability process.

  • Processing DBS requests

  • Managing holiday and absence management

  • Processing ECS checks and management of right to work expiries

What you'll need to succeed

  • Good experience of HR administration

  • Payroll processing experience

  • Hardworking, productive, works well under pressure, reliable, supportive

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work using own initiative

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word & Outlook

  • Integrity & trust

  • Attention to detail & accuracy

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Procedure driven
