HR Manager Job / Hybrid working / Glasgow

Your new role

In this role as HR Manager, you will be a strategic HR partner, aligning the workforce with organisational goals by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. You will act as a key link between employees and management, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and support for a positive workplace experience.

You’ll lead core HR operations to support a positive and productive workplace. This will include:

  • Managing employee relations, performance, and attendance.
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and safety training.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Administering benefits, leave, and compliance with employment and union agreements.
  • Partnering with management on workforce planning and staffing needs.
  • Employee Engagement

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, and to be successful in the post, you are required to have the following:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and workplace safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with discretion and empathy.
  • Calm, measured approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with union and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in a management role.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
