Your new role
As a standalone HR Manager, you will lead end-to-end generalist HR activity across the business, partnering with leaders to support effective people management, compliance, and employee engagement. Alongside day-to-day HR operations, you will manage and deliver training and development activity, ensuring employees have the tools, capability, and support to succeed.
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Providing practical advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and capability.
- Maintaining HR policies, procedures, and contracts to ensure legal compliance and consistent application.
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational changes, and communication activity.
- Producing accurate HR reporting and insights to inform decisions.
- Leading training coordination and delivery, including induction, mandatory compliance training, and role-specific development.
- Identifying skills gaps and working with stakeholders to build and maintain a training plan.
- Supporting a positive culture through engagement initiatives and manager capability development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, with the confidence to operate as a standalone HR lead.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations case management.
- Experience coordinating and delivering learning and development activity, including onboarding and compliance training.
- Comfortable working on-site and building trusted relationships across the business.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong communication and organisational skills.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is preferred.
What you'll get in return
- A competitive salary and benefits package which includes car allowance and health insurance.
- The opportunity to own and shape the HR and training function in a standalone role.
- A supportive environment with scope to make a visible impact.
- Potential flexibility once established in the role.
