HR Generalist - Standalone

Your new company
Working for an SME Fintech business based in Central London

Your new role
As the first HR hire within the business, you will have sole responsibility for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and the administration of employee benefits. You will use your initiative to ensure that best‑in‑class and cost‑effective suppliers are in place, particularly at benefit renewal points, and that all HR policies are regularly reviewed and updated to remain legally compliant and aligned with the evolving needs of the business.

As the company grows, you will lead the recruitment and hiring of high‑quality talent, embed and nurture company culture, and play a key role in retaining employees. You will act as the go‑to person for all HR‑related queries, providing guidance, support, and implementing changes as required.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Ideally CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Have experience of working in a busy HR environment and be confident in all aspects of HR including payroll.
  • Ideally have standalone experience, although not essential.
