HR Data Analyst for a university, Permanent, Hybrid (one day a week on site in London)

A university in London is seeking an HR Data Analyst to support its HR function through high-quality data insights and reporting. This role involves maintaining and analysing HR data, developing dashboards, and improving systems and processes to support strategic decision-making.

Your new role

  • Maintain and validate HR data across sources including EDI, Workforce, HESA, and Recruitment.
  • Clean and standardise data in collaboration with HR Operations.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports on HR metrics.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Power BI).
  • Support system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and train staff on data use.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with HR data, ideally within higher education or a comparable public services sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; Power BI or SQL desirable.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Power BI).
  • Support system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and train staff on data use.

What you'll get in return

This is a permanent role, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working. On-site presence is expected one day per week (ideally Wednesdays), with occasional additional on-site requirements to support projects or team activities. Salary: Up to 42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
