HR Business Partner - South Birmingham – 6 month FTC with Hybrid working
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a proactive HR Business Partner to join our client on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact in an organisation with strong social values.
About the Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders and the wider HR team to deliver strategic and operational HR projects. You’ll play a key role in driving engagement, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring best practice across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Objectives
- Embed a structured change management approach to deliver organisational strategic objectives.
- Build and sustain frameworks that anticipate workforce needs and optimise resource allocation.
- Partner with leaders across functions to influence people decisions and drive high-impact change initiatives.
- Enhance the people partnering and HR advice team’s ability to identify emerging people risks and opportunities through robust data insights.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with People Partners and HR Advisors to scale delivery capacity for HR and people projects.
- Design and implement workforce planning tools, aligning forecasts with operational priorities and budget constraints.
- Provide trusted HR advice on organisational design, role realignment, and process redesign to support evolving business needs.
- Coach and develop leaders on change resilience, people management best practices, and effective team engagement.
- Analyse people analytics to identify trends, highlight risks, and propose proactive interventions.
- Champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion by embedding local action plans and monitoring progress against EDI objectives.
- Partner with Employee Relations to guide informal resolutions, support complex casework, and ensure legal compliance.
- Oversee implementation of HR initiatives and policy updates at a local level, ensuring consistency with corporate standards.
What the successful candidate will need
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
