HR Assistant | Temporary Until May 2026 | 29 - 34k DOE | Sefton Park | Hybrid (After Training)

Your New Role

Exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join a well-established and supportive HR team, in a values-led organisation with a strong community focus, on a temporary basis until May 2026. This is a hands-on role offering variety and the chance to make a real impact across a multi-site organisation.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll be joining a busy HR team of 5, supporting a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, training, absence management, and payroll coordination. The role is based near Sefton Park, with excellent bus links.

Some travel across the region may be required.

Your Responsibilities as HR Assistant:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Notetaking in ER Meetings
  • Payroll Administration
  • Absence Management
  • Provide HR Advice to staff and managers relating to HR queries.
  • Learning and Development Coordination
  • HR System Management
  • Engagement and Communication
  • Continuous Improvement and System Development
What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Solid experience in HR administration within a busy, people-focused environment.
  • Tech-savvy with confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to support and guide others.
  • Driving is preferred due to regional travel, but not essential.
