Hays is thrilled to be partnering with a respected and forward ‑ thinking professional services organisation to recruit an HR Assistant who will join their expanding HR team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

This organisation is looking for an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will provide essential operational and administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, helping to deliver high ‑ quality, day ‑ to ‑ day HR services. You will play a key part in ensuring the HR processes run smoothly, are compliant with professional standards, and meet all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key areas of responsibility within this exciting new role include:

  • Managing the HR inbox and working through any queries
  • Timely and accurate completion of HR correspondence and documentation
  • Updating of HR templates
  • Holiday administration: calculation of holiday entitlement, dealing with queries and enquiries
  • Training administration: maintenance of training diary and records, issuing attendance registers and evaluation sheets, organising of training sessions (internal & external training)
  • Administration and maintenance of HRIS
  • Processing daily absences and dealing with associated tasks
  • Supporting the team with administration relating to the performance review process
  • Dealing with all administration associated with new starters, leavers, contractual changes and any other changes relating to staff
  • Onboarding, including organising induction training and preparing induction packs

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have experience in an administration role, ideally within an HR function. You may be a Human Resources graduate looking to obtain your first role to kick-start your HR career. It is vital that you possess strong organisational skills and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail. This role will require high levels of professionalism, confidence to build relationships with business stakeholders, as well as an adaptable and positive approach to your work on a daily basis.
