A well-regarded, commercially focused accountancy firm is recruiting for an ambitious People Adviser to join their operations team, due to growth. You will be joining a collaborative, supportive team who thrives on personal development.
Occasional Travel to Edinburgh and Inverness Offices.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you’ll be a trusted advisor across the full employee lifecycle, supporting performance, retention, and employee relations. Working closely with Talent Management Leads and senior stakeholders, you’ll help shape a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
As HR Advisor, you will:
- Lead on employee relations matters, offering expert guidance and informal resolution strategies.
- Coach line managers and staff partners on fair and effective HR practices.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries within your function.
- Support and mentor the People Operations Administration team, including training and ad hoc guidance.
- Analyse and present key people data (e.g. MI reports, engagement surveys, exit interviews) to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the Head of People Operations to review and enhance HR processes.
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and projects, ensuring timely delivery and meaningful impact.
- Share insights and lessons learned across the wider People Experience team to drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in HR or a related field.
- Proven HR Generalist experience within professional services or partnership environments.
- Strong analytical and data presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities across all levels.
- Confidence in using HR systems and software.
- High levels of initiative, judgement, and professionalism.
