ER Advisor - Yorkshire

Are you passionate about creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture? Do you thrive on supporting managers and colleagues through complex employee relations matters? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a HR/ ER Advisor to join one of our clients.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping a trusted and supportive working environment, aligning organisational strategy with colleague needs, and continuously improving people practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion an inclusive working environment, coaching managers to foster spaces where colleagues can thrive.
  • Lead on employee relations casework including conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary hearings, absence and performance management, and organisational change.
  • Ensure all ER processes are compliant with employment legislation and company values, minimising risk and protecting reputation.
  • Provide commercially sound, coaching-based advice to managers and the wider People team.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions on ER topics to build capability across the business.
  • Identify and escalate ER risks and trends, and take ownership of agreed actions.
  • Support escalated casework including early conciliation, ET3 forms, and Employment Tribunal bundles.
  • Maintain accurate ER data and trackers, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of ER policies and resources for managers and colleagues.
  • Lead and support on ER-related projects that add value to the colleague experience.
What We’re Looking For:

  • A values-driven professional with strong experience in employee relations.
  • Confident in coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
  • Skilled in managing complex casework with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice.
