The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join their on-site team in Cardiff. This is a hands-on generalist role with a strong emphasis on recruitment and onboarding. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, supporting day-to-day HR operations and helping to foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.

The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, supporting day-to-day HR operations and helping to foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Generalist HR Duties
• Provide on-site HR support and guidance to managers and employees
• Advise on HR policies, procedures, and employment law matters
• Support employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance
• Assist with performance reviews, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives
• Contribute to HR reporting and continuous improvement projects
• Provide on-site HR support and guidance to managers and employees

• Partner with hiring managers to define job specifications and selection criteria
• Advertise roles, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews
• Liaise with recruitment agencies and external partners as needed
• Prepare offer letters, contracts, and conduct pre-employment checks
• Deliver structured onboarding and induction programmes for new starters
• Ensure a welcoming and compliant onboarding experience

Candidate Profile
• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within manufacturing or technical sectors
• Strong recruitment and onboarding expertise • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
• Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office
• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within manufacturing or technical sectors
• Strong recruitment and onboarding expertise • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• CIPD or equivalent experience
