A leading London-based university is seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to join its People Directorate during a period of significant organisational change. Working closely with the Chief People Officer and HR Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of key people initiatives, including the People Transformation Plan and the development of the organisation's People AI agenda.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR project professional who enjoys operating at both strategic and operational levels within a complex and fast-paced environment.
Your New Role
As HR Project Manager, you will lead the coordination, governance and delivery of key HR transformation initiatives. Acting as a central point of contact across the People Directorate, you will ensure projects remain on track, stakeholders are engaged, risks are managed, and strategic priorities are successfully delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting delivery of the People Transformation Plan and wider HR change initiatives.
- Coordinating project plans, milestones, action trackers, governance and reporting activities.
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies and project documentation across multiple workstreams.
- Working closely with the Chief People Officer and HR Leadership Team to drive strategic priorities.
- Producing high-quality reports, presentations and briefing papers for senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the development of HR innovation, digital transformation and People AI governance activities.
- Building strong relationships across HR, professional services and wider organisational stakeholders.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you will have a proven track record of delivering HR, people or organisational change projects within a complex organisation.
You will bring:
- Experience as an HR Project Manager, HR Transformation Manager, Change Manager, PMO Lead or Programme Manager.
- Strong project governance, planning and reporting expertise.
- Experience managing project plans, RAID logs, progress reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting senior leaders and executive teams.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience of HR transformation, organisational change, service improvement or workforce programmes would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, MSP or similar frameworks would be advantageous.
