Housing Officer (Neighbourhoods - Social Housing) Maternity cover contract - St Helens
We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer to join our busy social housing client in St Helens, supporting their Neighbourhoods team on a maternity cover contract until the end of July.
Key responsibilities:
Manage a busy patch of general needs properties, ensuring safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods
Support tenants with tenancy sustainment, including signposting to relevant services
Handle low-medium level ASB cases, conducting investigations and working with partner agencies
Carry out estate inspections, identify improvements and ensure timely follow-up
Manage breaches of tenancy, prepare documentation including NOSP to serve when required, and liaise with legal teams
Build strong relationships with tenants, community partners and internal colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
Respond promptly to enquiries, complaints and safeguarding concerns
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Housing Officer/Neighbourhood Officer role within a social housing environment
Strong understanding of tenancy management, housing legislation and ASB processes
Experience of handling ASB cases, breaches of tenancy and safeguarding
Ability to travel across the St Helens area as needed
