Housing Officer (Communities) - Social Housing - Permanent Opportunity!!
We've got an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced Housing Officer in the Northwich area on a permanent contract. This is a full-time, 35 hour per week role with the opportunity of hybrid working, but will be required to visit your patch a minimum of 2 x per week.
Our client is looking for a proactive and people-focused individual to play a key role in delivering high-quality housing and tenancy management services to their customers, ensuring tenancies remain well-managed, communities are supported and properties are maintained to a high-standard.Your new role
Be a visible presence within the community, acting as the first point of contact for customers to respond to any general queries or complaints
Responding to and investigating reports of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches, using a range of legal remedies to tackle issues using a multi-agency approach, preparing legal cases and representing in court where required
Support customers with tenancy-related queries, including rent, repairs, sustainment
Overseeing voids, lettings, allocations, sign-ups and all other tenancy-management related matters including mutual exchanges, successions and terminations
Promote resident engagement and community initiatives
Ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies
What you'll need to succeed
Strong background in a customer-facing housing management position with experience of managing your own ASB cases through to resolution and legal proceedings
A good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and best practice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
