Housing Management Solicitor sought by leading housing association in Liverpool

Your new company
Join a respected housing organisation dedicated to providing safe, affordable homes and improving lives in local communities. You’ll be a part of a collaborative, high-performing legal team that values innovation, inclusion, and professional growth. The team is expanding, which makes this an exciting time to join and help shape the future of legal services within the organisation.

Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity to manage a caseload of housing management matters, including anti-social behaviour, possession actions, disrepair claims, compliance injunctions, succession, and trespass cases. You will handle pre- and post-issue cases across claimant and defendant disciplines, draft pleadings and statements, and represent the organisation in court. Collaborate across the organisation to ensure services are compliant, and provide clear, practical legal advice to internal teams and stakeholders. This role will also involve leading and developing a small team, through mentoring and training.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified solicitor (SRA or equivalent) with at least 3 years' PQE.
Significant experience in housing management law, including possession, disrepair, anti-social behaviour, and injunctions.
Proven ability to manage a legal team, as well as the ability to take ownership of cases and identify risks.
Strong understanding of housing sector regulations and government policy.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
High IT literacy and adaptability to new systems and ways of working.
Applications from those with private practice backgrounds seeking an in-house opportunity are welcome.

What you'll get in return
  • The opportunity to be part of an organisation where you can contribute to public service, sustainability goals and improve local communities.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options.
  • Generous annual leave with a holiday purchase scheme.
  • Excellent employer pension contribution.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay.
  • Lease car scheme and employee discounts.
  • Support for professional qualifications.
  • Enhanced sick pay and discounted gym memberships.
  • Health expenses coverage for eligible employees.
