Your new role
As a Housing Lawyer, you will provide high quality legal advice, representation and assistance across key areas of Housing and Homelessness Law, with opportunities to broaden into general civil litigation. You will manage your own caseload, ranging from routine matters to more complex issues depending on your level of experience.

Your new role
As a Housing Lawyer, you will provide high quality legal advice, representation and assistance across key areas of Housing and Homelessness Law, with opportunities to broaden into general civil litigation. You will manage your own caseload, ranging from routine matters to more complex issues depending on your level of experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering clear, robust legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Advising on the interpretation of policies, procedures and governance requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures and service level agreements.
- Contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing, learning and excellence.
- Liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Supporting corporate commitments around equality, safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and climate neutrality.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a motivated legal professional with the right blend of expertise, confidence and curiosity. You will bring:
- A full practising certificate as a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx.
- Up-to‑date knowledge of Housing and Homelessness Law (and willingness to broaden into related disciplines).
- The ability to manage your own caseload effectively and provide advice directly to clients.
- Strong drafting skills, with increasing autonomy and capability depending on PQE level.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly.
- A proactive, solutions focused approach aligned with the organisation’s values and commitment to best practice.
