Homelessness Prevention Officer - Liverpool - Ongoing temp - Rotating shifts

We're looking to recruit a compassionate and experienced Homelessness Prevention Officer in Liverpool on an ongoing, temporary contract for a minimum of 12 weeks.

You'll be responsible for providing personalised, trauma-informed support to individuals experiencing or facing homelessness, helping them to maintain their tenancies, set and achieve personal goals, and access community services. The role involves working intensively with your own caseload, supporting individuals from rough sleeping through to sustainable housing.

This is a Monday-to-Friday role, with 1 in every 6 weekends to be worked, with 2 rest days the following week. Shift patterns are 8-4, 9-5 and 12-8. You will require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance, as well as an Enhanced DBS, ideally on the update service.


Your new role

  • Delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support in line with principles and supporting individuals to achieve goals through tailored case management

  • Building trusting relationships with people facing complex needs, collaborating with other agencies and landlords to provide holistic support

  • Assist with risk assessments, safety planning and practical tenancy support, including benefits advice

  • Identifying and recording any risks or safeguarding concerns

  • Maintain accurate records and contributing to service development

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with people facing homelessness, with an understanding of risk management and safety planning

  • An understanding of welfare benefits and housing legislation

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred support

  • Driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance

  • Enhanced Adults DBS ideally on the update service
