Leasehold Officer - Service charges
3–6 months
Part-time 3 days a week 21 hours – central London

As the successful candidate you will ensure that the Right to Buy provisions of the various Housing Acts are properly and effectively implemented; to prepare service charge accounts in accordance with relevant legislation; to develop a customer orientated service providing advice and information to residents wishing to purchase, or having purchased their homes.

You will carry out formal S.20 consultation with leaseholders in respect of services and major works programmes in accordance with legislation, issuing notices and supporting information as required.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the below:

  • Responsible for key decisions during the co-ordinate and delivery of section 20/20b consultations
  • Ensure that calculation charges of estimate and actuals are distributed in a timely manner to secure full recovery of leaseholder recharges for major works and to enable timely processing of final accounts
  • Assist in managing consultation meetings with residents
  • Attend pre and post inspection site visits for all programmed works when required in order to quality check and approve completed programmes of work to pass for billing
  • Support residents & colleagues throughout refurbishment & programmed works
