About the Role
Hays is working in partnership with Amey, a leading public service provider, to recruit a skilled joiner for a temporary position at HMP Haverigg. This is a unique opportunity to apply your trade skills in a secure and structured environment, supporting the maintenance and facilities team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive joinery maintenance across the prison estate
  • Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, furniture, and fittings
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and prison staff
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry/Joinery
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must be able to pass enhanced security clearance (vetting required)
