Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full-Time – Walsall

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic HLTA looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking primary school? Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming school in Walsall to recruit a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to start in September.

Your new role

As an HLTA, you will:

  • Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher
  • Deliver targeted interventions and small group support
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities
  • Support pupils with a range of needs across different year groups
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to raise standards and outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to learning support
