SEND HLTA needed immediately to work in Resource base, Sparkbrook, B11

⏰Start: ASAP, full time 5 days

I am currently recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a specialist SEND resource base in a welcoming mainstream primary school located in Sparkbrook (B11).
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient HLTA who is confident supporting pupils with complex additional needs and is committed to inclusive education.

The SEND team works closely together to provide high-quality support tailored to individual pupil needs.


Your new role

As an HLTA in the SEND resource base, you will:
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and SEND (Austism, non verbal)
  • Deliver interventions and small-group learning
  • Plan & resource
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and external professionals
  • Promote pupil independence, engagement and positive behaviour
  • Contribute to a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong SEND experience, ideally within a resource base or specialist setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, communication needs, SEMH, or similar
  • Confidence delivering interventions and supporting learning across the curriculum
  • A patient, proactive and flexible approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
