Location: Redbridge, East London
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only (36 hours/week)
Salary: £30,451 – £31,435 per annum (LBR 6, pro rata)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?

This well-regarded SEN primary school in Redbridge is looking for a dedicated HLTA to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with a range of complex needs.

The Role

As HLTA, you will:

•Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention tailored to pupils with SEN
•Support and occasionally lead class-based learning under teacher's guidance
•Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
•Work closely with the SENCo to support EHCP targets
•Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour throughout the school day

What We’re Looking For

•HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4+ teaching support certification
•Proven experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
•Strong understanding of inclusive practice and behaviour strategies
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•Confidence in leading learning and supporting curriculum delivery

Desirable Qualifications

•HLTA Status (recognised by a UK awarding body)
•Level 3/4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
•Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training
•Safeguarding and First Aid certifications (or willingness to complete)
