Your new company

We are currently working with a high school with good links to Manchester, Wigan & Bolton who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the academic year in July.
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality education and positive outcomes for pupils.

Your new role

• Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes in the absence of a teacher

• Support pupils’ learning, progress, and engagement within the classroom

• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities

• Support students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs

• Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies

• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate

What you'll need to succeed

• Level 4 HLTA qualification (essential)

• Previous experience working in a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A proactive, flexible, and positive approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
