We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and nurturing team. This role involves working closely with a small group of 12 children with SEMH needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally in a safe and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.
•Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the individual needs of pupils.
•Provide targeted interventions to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
•Monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback and adapting support strategies.
•Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
•Support behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
•Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and professionals.
Requirements:
•HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
•Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs.
•Strong understanding of emotional and behavioural development.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations.
•Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
