HLTA – 1:1 SEN Support (SEMH & Behavioural Needs) – Willenhall

HLTA Opportunity – 1:1 Support Role in Willenhall

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist educational setting in the Willenhall area. This is a 1:1 support role, working closely with a pupil who requires consistent, personalised support to access learning and manage their emotional and behavioural needs.
About the Role:
  • Provide high-quality 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions, including phonics-based learning
  • Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver differentiated activities
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs
About the School: The setting supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, primarily:
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Behavioural challenges
  • Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Communication and sensory processing difficulties

What We’re Looking For:
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with children with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Confident in delivering phonics teaching and literacy support
  • Calm, patient, and resilient with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support, and inclusive education
