Higher Level Teaching Assistant position in Wolverhampton, starting November

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with SEND and EAL needs in a nurturing and stimulating environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support pupils with classroom activities and curriculum access.
  • Promote independence, self-confidence, and social development.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress across different year groups.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider TA team to support learning and behaviour.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting, ideally across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND and EAL needs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach.
