Higher Level Teaching Assistant role in Walsall, Starting in October

The school is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team from October 2025. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, including leading whole-class sessions, delivering targeted interventions, and supporting pupils with additional needs.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering learning activities under the direction of teaching staff
  • Leading small group and whole-class sessions
  • Supporting pupils with varying needs, including SEN
  • Assisting with assessment and progress tracking
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to raise attainment

What you'll need to succeed

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
  • A current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
