Your new role
Are you passionate about making education accessible for all? We’re looking for x2 dedicated HLTA’s to join our Inclusion Team and support vulnerable learners who are unable to attend school due to medical, emotional, or social challenges. This is offered on a part-time (24 hours a week), temporary (until Jan 2026), term-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by delivering high-quality, personalised education programmes in a variety of settings, including homes, community spaces, and online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad, balanced, and motivating curriculum tailored to individual learner needs.
- Teach and support a range of subjects through direct instruction and e-learning, both one-to-one and in small groups.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, schools, and partner agencies.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, attendance, and engagement.
- Maintain effective communication with home schools to ensure continuity in learning.
- Support reintegration plans for pupils returning to school or transitioning to other settings.
- Promote pupil safety and well-being, including conducting risk and safeguarding assessments.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
- Experience working with children and young people in educational or support settings.
- Experience in supporting learners with SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently across various locations, including lone working.
- Confidence using remote learning platforms and digital tools.
- Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and equal opportunities principles.
