A leading logistics and fleet maintenance provider with a strong presence across Scotland is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team in Bellshill. Your new role
As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you’ll ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with DVSA standards.
Location: Bellshill Working Hours: Monday to Friday, alternating shifts: 6:30am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm
Duties include:
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Completing service records and job sheets accurately
  • Supporting MOT preparation and inspections
  • Responding to breakdowns when required
What you'll need to succeed
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Proven experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently
  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (desirable but not essential)
