Your new company

Hays are working with an organisation in the construction industry for a full-time permanent helpdesk administrator.


Your new role

As a Helpdesk Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy facilities management helpdesk. Working with a bespoke internal software system, you will be responsible for logging service requests, updating job progress, and ensuring accurate and timely communication between clients, engineers, and the supply chain. Your duties will include:
  • Managing incoming emails and phone calls
  • Logging and closing service jobs using the internal FM system
  • Raising purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers
  • Maintaining live updates and detailed notes on job progress
  • Liaising with engineers and clients to ensure smooth service delivery
Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident using the systems and processes in place.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a helpdesk or administrative role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Experience using CAFM or similar facilities management systems (desirable but not essential)
