Course Overview

In this course, both of the main topics - mental health and dementia - are discussed separately and then strategies for enabling people to live lives as they choose are introduced. Particular concerns are addressed, such as hate crime, and the stigma of mental illness.

Target Audience

This course will be particularly useful for new members of staff in healthcare support worker roles, new members of staff in adult social care worker roles and any staff members who provide direct care to patients or individuals needing support.

This course is also useful if you’re moving into a new role or simply want to refresh your existing dementia care training or access mental health training online.
