Health & Social Care Teacher job - Full-time & long-term role to start ASAP

  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: 10th July 2026
  • Full-time role: Mon-Fri
  • Teaching at KS4 & KS5
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-18 secondary school & sixth form in West Leicestershire who are seeking an experienced and committed Health & Social Care Teacher. This is a full-time and long-term job to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.

Job Description
  • Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across KS4 and KS5
  • Supporting students in their understanding of core topics such as human development, health principles, safeguarding, and care values.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Health and Social Care
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
