Your new role
As Health and Safety Manager, you will take strategic and operational ownership of health and safety across all departments and locations. You’ll lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programmes, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture. Key responsibilities include:
Managing health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Leading accident investigations and reporting.
Advising on capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Chairing health and safety committee meetings and liaising with union representatives.
Delivering training and maintaining documentation.
Managing a direct report and overseeing departmental workload.
Representing the organisation externally to share and develop best practice.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
Chartered membership (or working towards) of IOSH.
Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
Significant experience managing health and safety in a large organisation, ideally within the entertainment or cultural sector.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Experience in accident investigation and reporting.
Strong project management and time management skills.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
