Your new company
A leading organisation in aviation infrastructure and estates management is seeking a Health & Safety and CDM Advisor to join their team on a long-term contract basis, 3 days a week onsite. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, compliance, and operational excellence are at the forefront.
As the H&S and CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM and HSE regulations across both infrastructure projects and estates operations. You will play a key role in reviewing contractor documentation, conducting inspections, and supporting internal teams with safety procedures and training.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities Include:Projects Department:
- Review and approve CDM and HSE documentation.
- Conduct safety tours and performance reporting.
- Evaluate contractor quality and commissioning documentation.
- Participate in design development sessions for compliance.
General Duties:
- Manage contractor onboarding and H&S documentation.
- Develop and implement safety procedures.
- Issue and manage permits to work.
- Support investigations and maintain accurate records.
- Promote company values and contribute to community initiatives.
Estates Department:
- Maintain regulatory registers (LOLER, COSHH, PUWER).
- Assess tools and equipment used by engineers and contractors.
- Review and create risk assessments.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate with contractors.
- Provide training and guidance to internal engineers.
What you'll need to succeed
Essentials:
- Chartered Health & Safety professional (or working towards) with IOSH or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Project).
- CSCS cardholder.
- Resilience and adaptability.
Desirable:
- Experience in construction HSE compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Understanding of construction techniques and site monitoring.
- Familiarity with operational environments involving infrastructure and estates.
