National Health and Safety compliance auditor role. Remote working, 12-month fixed term contract
Your new company
A national organisation with a multi-site office / site network across England and Wales is looking for experienced and qualified Health and Safety auditors on a 12-month fixed-term basis as part of a strategic 3-year plan.
Your new role
Your new role will be to provide compliance assurance through conducting H&S audits and inspections across the organisation's various sites overseeing 6 key areas. You will be providing ongoing support to the H&S Team in ensuring standards, operating procedures and processes are relevant and effective, assisting in updating these as needed.
Key duties will include:
The role offers a competitive annual salary of circa £40000 per annum + car allowance and any mileage covered. It is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Pension + other benefits, flexible and hybrid working with the autonomy to manage your own diary.

Your new role
Your new role will be to provide compliance assurance through conducting H&S audits and inspections across the organisation's various sites overseeing 6 key areas. You will be providing ongoing support to the H&S Team in ensuring standards, operating procedures and processes are relevant and effective, assisting in updating these as needed.
Key duties will include:
- Conduct internal H&S audits and inspections both on site and desktop – to an agreed schedule, including recommendations for improvement.
- Documenting findings and producing professional reports for the Director of Health & Safety
- Use professional knowledge, experience and audit findings to advise the H&S Team on emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and facilitate audit and compliance reviews
- Support any trial and implementation of innovative/novel approaches to H&S compliance
- Challenge poor practices and behaviours, fostering a culture of openness and continuous improvement.
- Plan, organise, coordinate and effectively prioritise your own workload
- Professionally qualified – NEBOSH dip or equivalent; minimum Certified member of the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH)
- CDM Knowledge
- Current driving licence and own transport (ability to travel is widely necessary for this post The salary has been set at a level to recompense use of your own vehicle for business travel. In addition to your salary, you will receive a mileage allowance for all business travel.
- Confidence in using IT to undertake trend analysis, performance monitoring, and creation of information for the organisation
- Experienced and knowledgeable in safety compliance auditing and legislative requirements across a broad range of disciplines in health and safety management for employees, contractors, volunteers and the public.
