Your new role
The Head of Study Programme + Quality & Compliance Lead is a pivotal leadership role within a leading Post-16 Provision, with full responsibility for the strategic direction, growth, operational delivery, and quality assurance of the provision. Reporting directly to the Operations Director and Board, you will attend monthly Board meetings and lead the Senior Management Team, including responsibility for SMT performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide visible, hands-on leadership across the provision, fostering a culture of inclusion, ambition, and continuous improvement
Full responsibility for the strategic direction, growth, and operational delivery of the provision
Take ownership of quality and compliance processes, acting as the OFSTED Nominee
Represent the provision in external partnerships and regulatory relationships
Drive sustainable growth and innovation across the provision
Collaborate with curriculum managers and the wider SMT to deliver high-impact education and training
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a confident and forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in post-16 education. You’ll be someone who can inspire teams, advocate for learners, and drive strategic growth.
You will bring:
Substantial experience in leading quality and compliance within FE or Independent Training Providers
A background in curriculum design and delivery for the 16–19 Study Program
Experience managing teaching staff and support services, with a strong grasp of DfE standards
A deep understanding of the needs of high-needs learners, including those with EHCPs
Previous involvement in OFSTED inspections, ideally as a nominee or department lead
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders and external bodies
