Are you an experienced procurement leader looking for a strategic role in a forward-thinking organisation? We are seeking a Head of Procurement to lead and develop a high-performing team, driving innovation and operational excellence in public sector procurement.
As Head of Procurement, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Develop and implement a rolling ten-year procurement strategy to maintain market leadership.
- Ensure compliant, efficient, and innovative procurement processes across the organisation.
- Oversee delivery of procurement programmes, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards.
- Collaborate with technical, regional, and commercial teams to optimise procurement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct line management of the Procurement Manager and two Procurement Officers.
- Streamline and standardise procurement processes.
- Maintain expert knowledge of UK public procurement regulations and advise internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learnt, benchmarking, and training initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience in leading procurement teams within the UK Public Sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK public procurement regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to innovate and deliver strategic procurement solutions.
