Requirement for a Head of Planning
Your new company
You’ll be joining a high growth, locally owned engineering and manufacturing business that is playing a key role in the decarbonisation of commercial heating and large-scale cooling systems across Europe. Over the past four years, the organisation has consistently delivered year on year growth of around 40%, supplying bespoke solutions to some of the world’s most recognisable names. Despite its scale and ambition, the company has retained a strong family ethos, investing heavily in people, facilities and long term capability. With a clear vision for the future and a reputation for quality, innovation and delivery, this is a business with genuine momentum and an exciting roadmap ahead.
Your new role
As Head of Planning & Forecasting, you will take a senior leadership position at the heart of the organisation, shaping how projects, manufacturing and resources are planned and aligned. Leading a multidisciplinary planning and forecasting function, your role will be to drive predictability, optimise capacity and support sustainable growth across a complex, multiproject environment. You will work closely with senior leaders across commercial, manufacturing and operations, turning data and insight into clear, actionable delivery plans. This role offers genuine scope to influence strategy while remaining closely connected to day-to-day execution, making it ideal for a leader who enjoys both shaping direction and seeing plans translated into results.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring proven experience in a senior planning, forecasting or programme controls leadership role, ideally within a scaling or project led environment. You will have a strong track record of building and developing teams, improving planning accuracy and introducing robust, data-led ways of working. The ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and balance strategic thinking with operational delivery is essential. Above all, you will demonstrate a leadership mindset built on ownership, continuous improvement and pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.
What you'll get in return
You’ll benefit from a comprehensive package designed to support both your career and wellbeing, including a competitive pension, life assurance, a health cash plan and annual health checks during working hours. You’ll enjoy generous annual leave allowances that increase with service, flexible finish times on a Friday, and access to ongoing training and development. The business also places strong emphasis on culture and community, offering regular social events, a supportive working environment, free on-site parking and everyday perks such as complimentary hot drinks and fruit. Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact within a company that has successfully combined strong growth with a people-centred culture.
