Your new role working as the head of MGA Services will be working for an independent and growing authorised intermediary, MGA and broker services platform as well as Cover holder. They collaborate with a wide variety of different companies, ranging from established industry leaders to small start-ups providing the infrastructure and operational expertise required to launch and scale insurance businesses. With offices based in the heart of the City, your new organisation is looking for a Head of MGA Services to come into the office 4 days a week to join their established Operations Team.

As Head of MGA Services, you will take on a pivotal leadership role within the organisation, reporting directly into the Head of Operations and acting as a senior figure across all the MGA-related activities. A key part of this role will be providing an exceptional service to the MGA and their clients.

Responsibilities will include

Defining and delivering the MGA services strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business growth objectives while enhancing operational efficiency, speed to market and client experience. You will also be identifying opportunities to expand services across underwriting and delegated authority operations. Additionally, you will lead all day-to-day MGA support functions, including delegated authority administration, Premium Bordereaux processing, claims bordereaux oversight and policy administration.

You will oversee the full life cycle of MGA onboarding, ensuring seamless implementation of underwriting authority, claims processes, bordereaux standards and reporting requirements. Acting as the senior point of accountability for operational relationships. Other duties will also include managing and developing key stakeholder partnerships across MGAs, carriers and internal teams.

In addition, you will lead and develop a team, driving high performance and ensuring best-in-class service delivery. The role will also involve working closely with cross-functional teams to support successful MGA launches, identify opportunities to expand value-added services, and continuously improve operational frameworks.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in Binder Management or senior Binder / Bordereaux Operations with a strong background in delegated authority, MGA management or bordereaux services. You will have a deep understanding of underwriting administration, claims oversight and premium processing, alongside a strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s and London Market environment. A background in working in an Insurer, MGA or would be advantageous.
