Head of Management Accounts and Outsourcing at an independent firm in Manchester City Centre

Your new company
A leading and well-renowned independent firm with offices in Manchester City Centre is looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant, who will head up, lead and grow a new department within the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant, with experience of managing a team within Outsourcing.
This is a leading independent firm with offices in both Manchester and Liverpool City Centre, with big growth ambitions, who have developed an excellent reputation across the North West.

Your new role
Currently, the firm manage Management Accounts and Bookkeeping services within their Accountancy Services team. However, due to a huge increase in demand, they are looking to appoint someone to lead a separate department and head up the Outsourcing provision for the firm. In time, you will be able to grow your own team with resources, as well as utilising internal staff currently within the Accountancy Services team who are already delivering on the work.
You will lead your own client portfolio which is ready-made, as well as look at ways of developing your client base in time through networking and business development, as both the department and the firm continue to grow.
You will report directly to the Partner, and be capable of training, managing, and reviewing juniors' work.

What you'll need to succeed
It’s important that you are ambitious and also able to take your own initiative, as well as be able to lean on your colleagues and the senior leadership team where appropriate.
You must have excellent communication skills in order to build strong and long-standing relationships with your client base, as well as be able to pitch for and win work in the future. You will already be leading a team within Management Accounts, and ideally have some experience in networking and business development.
You will ideally be 2-3 years post qualification (ACCA/ACA).

What you'll get in return
This opportunity will allow you to be a part of a highly ambitious Accountancy Practice which already has an excellent reputation across the North West region. With 2 offices currently in Manchester and Liverpool, this firm is keen to continue their growth strategy with the support of strong new recruits such as yourself.
You will receive a good benefits package, as well as working alongside a team of experienced professionals who all share the same ambition to deliver excellent client service.
You will work in the heart of Manchester City Centre, and your client base will be in the main, all local across the City, with some further afield in Greater Manchester.
Due to the nature of this role, you will have an element of autonomy in terms of leading and growing the department as you see fit, as long as you can demonstrate a strong track record of operating in a similar role.
