This is a senior leadership role suited to an accomplished communications professional with a proven background operating within FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 environments.

The Role
As Head of Communications, you will lead the development and delivery of a cohesive communications strategy that strengthens reputation, enhances stakeholder trust and ensures consistent, high‑quality messaging across all channels. You will guide a dedicated communications team, foster strong relationships with senior leaders, and provide strategic counsel on corporate positioning, change initiatives and critical business activity.

  • Lead internal and external communications activity, ensuring clarity, consistency and impact.
  • Manage media relations and act as a senior spokesperson when required.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on reputation, messaging and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee content creation across digital, social and traditional channels.
  • Support crisis and issues management, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing communications team, building capability and embedding best practice.

About You
You will be an experienced communications leader with:

  • A strong track record gained within a FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 organisation.
  • Significant experience in corporate communications, media relations and strategic stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to influence at executive level and manage complex, sensitive messaging.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent judgement, adaptability and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

What’s on Offer
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the voice of a high‑profile organisation. You will join a business that values expertise, encourages fresh thinking and is committed to continuous improvement across its communications function.
